First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a new injectable medicine called iGlarLixi (a mix of insulin and a GLP-1 drug) against standard diabetes treatments in 1,316 adults in China whose type 2 diabetes is not well controlled with oral pills. The goal is to see if iGlarLixi lowers blood sugar better and helps with weight without causing more low blood sugar episodes. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either iGlarLixi or standard care (basal or premixed insulin) for 24 weeks.
