Summary
This study tested a 10-week emotional intelligence program for first-year college students aged 18-25. The program aimed to improve how students identify, understand, use, and manage emotions. Researchers measured changes in emotional attention, clarity, and regulation, as well as symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.

- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a simple, non-drug way to help new college students handle stress and emotions better.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, completed study with no phase, so results may not apply widely. The program is behavioral, so benefits may vary by individual.
