First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study aims to find a biological marker that can identify people at risk of bone loss caused by glucocorticoid (steroid) treatment. Researchers will give 36 healthy volunteers either a steroid or a placebo and take blood, bone marrow, bone, and fat samples to measure changes. The goal is to develop a way to predict bone damage before it happens, allowing doctors to protect patients' bones early.
