First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at how Latino adults in New York City react to learning their genetic risk for Alzheimer's disease. 374 participants either received risk info based on family history alone or also got their APOE gene test results. Researchers measured distress, memory, and behavior over 15 months to understand the impact of this knowledge.
