New computer model could help doctors spot shock faster in ICU

NCT ID NCT07256886

First seen Dec 02, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a computer model called iCVS can help doctors figure out the cause of shock in intensive care patients more quickly and accurately. The model uses only a patient's age, weight, and blood pressure readings to classify the type of shock. Researchers will test it on data from 1,150 adults in the ICU to see if it can detect blood pressure drops earlier and improve shock classification.
