Summary
This study tested whether adding a disinfectant called organosilane to the regular cleaning routine in hospital intensive care units (ICUs) could help prevent infections patients catch during their stay. It involved over 10,000 adult patients across multiple ICUs. Researchers compared infection rates in units using the new disinfectant plus standard cleaning against units using standard cleaning alone.
