Scientists probe mysterious link between rare skin disease and blood cancer

NCT ID NCT07477769

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with a rare, inherited skin scaling disorder (NIPAL4 ichthyosis) also develop a serious type of blood cancer called Sézary syndrome. Researchers will analyze the immune cells in the blood of 10 adult patients who have the skin condition but not the cancer. The goal is to gather basic information about their immune systems to see if it provides clues about this unexpected disease connection.
