Summary
This study tested whether a cream made from icariin, a plant extract, can improve acne and reduce acne scars. 25 adults applied the cream to one side of their face and a control solution to the other side twice daily for 2 months. Researchers counted acne lesions and scars and took skin samples to see what changed. The goal was to find a new, gentle option for treating acne and scars.
