First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested whether a cream made from icariin, a plant extract, can improve acne and reduce acne scars. Twenty-five adults applied the cream to one side of their face and a control solution to the other side twice daily for two months. The goal was to see if icariin reduces acne lesions and scars better than the control.
