First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving ibuprofen during and after lung surgery can help maintain healthy oxygen levels in the brain and lower the risk of confusion or memory problems afterward. About 54 adults having keyhole lung surgery will be randomly assigned to receive ibuprofen or not. Researchers will measure brain oxygen during surgery and check for delirium and cognitive changes after.
