Promising combo for High-Risk CLL falls short as trial ends early
NCT ID NCT03514017
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a two-drug combination—pembrolizumab and ibrutinib—in people with high-risk chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who had not yet received treatment. The goal was to see if the drugs could improve the body's immune function and shrink or control the cancer. Only 5 people enrolled before the trial was stopped early, so the results are limited.
