First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a technique called instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) in 30 children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy, aged 5 to 8. Half received standard physical therapy, and the other half also got IASTM. After 6 weeks, the IASTM group showed better joint movement during walking. The goal was to ease symptoms and improve mobility, not to cure the condition.
