First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a program called I-CARE that combines remote support through a smartphone app with in-person clinic visits for people who have been in the ICU. The goal is to see if this program helps reduce unplanned hospital readmissions and emergency room visits, and improves physical and mental recovery. About 240 ICU survivors who needed a breathing tube will take part.
