First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a drug can help red blood cells work better in low-oxygen (hypoxia) and cold (hypothermia) conditions, which are common in high-altitude or military environments. Researchers will measure how the drug affects red blood cell energy and antioxidant defenses in 50 healthy adults. The goal is to understand if the drug can improve the body's ability to adapt to extreme conditions, not to cure or treat a disease.
