Mind over matter: hypnosis tested to ease cancer treatment discomfort
NCT ID NCT03755895
Summary
This study tested whether adding formal hypnosis to standard care could help patients feel less anxious and experience less pain during a specific part of their cancer radiation treatment called brachytherapy. It involved 68 adult patients undergoing this procedure. Researchers compared the anxiety and pain levels of patients who received hypnosis with those who received standard care alone.
