Oxygen chamber tested for severe gut inflammation
NCT ID NCT07257588
Summary
This study is testing whether adding hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) to standard treatment helps people with severe, hard-to-treat ulcerative colitis. It will compare two groups of 44 total participants: one receiving the oxygen therapy plus standard care, and one receiving standard care alone. The goal is to see if the oxygen therapy leads to better control of the disease and faster healing of the gut lining.
