First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study compares two video laryngoscope blades (hyperangulated vs standard) in critically ill adults who need a breathing tube in the emergency department or intensive care unit. About 2,500 participants will be randomly assigned to one blade type. The main goal is to see which blade leads to successful tube placement on the first try, with a secondary focus on preventing low oxygen levels during the procedure.
