First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a capsule form of hyoscine butylbromide can reduce stomach movements during painless gastrointestinal endoscopy, making it easier for doctors to see and work. About 74 adults scheduled for upper GI endoscopy will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if the pill works as well as injections, without the pain and anxiety of needles.
