Summary
This early-stage study gave hydroxocobalamin (a form of vitamin B12a) to 10 healthy adults to see if it causes any side effects. The goal was to gather safety information before testing the drug as a possible treatment for ulcerative colitis and other bowel conditions. Participants were monitored for changes in stool and other symptoms.
