Hydrogen gas may shield Divers' lungs from oxygen poisoning

Summary
This study tests whether adding a small amount of hydrogen to the breathing gas can reduce lung damage caused by breathing high levels of oxygen under pressure. Thirty-two healthy military divers will each complete two sessions—one with hydrogen and one without—to compare effects. The goal is to understand if hydrogen can protect the lungs and how oxygen toxicity develops.
