This study looked at how a simulated AI helper changes the way people make decisions in tasks like deciding whether to recall a woman for more breast cancer tests. Researchers tested 12 volunteers to see how often the disease appeared affected their choices when using AI as a second reader. The goal was to better understand human-AI teamwork, not to treat any disease.
