New painkiller shows promise for bunion surgery recovery

Summary
This study tested a new medicine called HTX-034 to see if it can control pain after bunion surgery better than the standard local anesthetic. 78 adults having bunion surgery received either HTX-034 or the standard treatment. The goal was to measure pain levels and safety over the first few days after surgery.
