First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests a new dry powder inhaler called HSK39004 in 180 adults aged 40–80 with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the active inhaler or a placebo for 4 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug improves lung function (measured by FEV1) over 12 hours after dosing. This is a phase 2 trial, so it focuses on safety and early signs of effectiveness.
