Can a vaccine shield rare immune patients from HPV?
NCT ID NCT03519464
First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether the 9-valent HPV vaccine (Gardasil 9) can help people with idiopathic CD4 T cell lymphocytopenia (ICL), a rare condition that weakens the immune system and makes HPV infections more severe. About 54 adults with ICL and healthy volunteers will receive three vaccine doses over six months. Researchers will measure immune responses and monitor safety to see if the vaccine works in this vulnerable group.
