First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested a new treatment for people with HPV-positive head and neck or cervical cancer that has spread or come back. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, engineered to recognize and attack HPV-infected cancer cells. Some cells were also modified to release an anti-PD1 substance to help them work better. Nine participants received different doses to find the safest amount.
