Blood test hunt for hidden HPV cancers in men
NCT ID NCT02897427
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to screen men for early signs of cancers caused by HPV, particularly in the throat and genital areas. Researchers are testing whether specific markers in blood and oral samples can identify men at higher risk before cancer develops. About 1,500 men will provide samples and some will be followed for five years to see if these tests can lead to earlier detection.
