Scientists probe why too little sleep makes you hungry and foggy

NCT ID NCT03142893

Summary

This study aims to understand exactly how not getting enough sleep affects the body's stress and reproductive hormones, as well as thinking skills and food cravings. Researchers will monitor 80 healthy men in a sleep lab, giving them one normal night of sleep followed by four nights of very short sleep. They will measure hormone levels in the blood and test memory, reaction time, and appetite to see how they change.
