Sitting sabotages your workout: study reveals hidden impact
NCT ID NCT06301243
Summary
This study investigated how a day of low activity affects how muscles respond to exercise. Researchers had 11 healthy participants complete either a day of sitting or normal activity, then measured their body's energy use during an hour of cycling. The goal was to understand how inactivity might reduce exercise benefits for heart and metabolic health.
