Sitting sabotages your workout: study reveals hidden muscle impact

NCT ID NCT06301243

Summary

This study investigated how a day of low activity affects how muscles respond to exercise. Researchers had 11 healthy participants complete either a low-activity or normal-activity day, then perform an hour of cycling. They measured energy use and took small muscle samples to see how the muscle changed. The goal was to better understand why exercise benefits vary between people.
