First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a program at Pennsylvania Hospital where visitors and patients who carried firearms could get free cable locks or lock boxes to store their guns safely. The goal was to see if offering these devices and a short survey would help prevent gun violence. About 49 people took part, and the researchers measured how many completed the survey and whether they stored all their firearms later.
