Study asks: can hospital patients skip insulin shots and just take their pills?
NCT ID NCT04416269
Summary
This study is testing if people with type 2 diabetes can safely continue taking their usual diabetes pills while in the hospital, instead of switching to insulin injections. It will compare blood sugar control and safety between the two approaches in 255 hospitalized adults. The goal is to see if pills can be a simpler, less burdensome option that works just as well.
