Can a simple Pop-Up alert help doctors fight superbugs?

NCT ID NCT07115966

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, automated computer alert can help doctors in a hospital use antibiotics more appropriately. The alert reminds doctors to review a patient's antibiotic prescription after 72 hours to see if it's still needed or can be changed. Researchers will measure if this reminder reduces the overall amount and duration of antibiotic use, which can help prevent antibiotic resistance and improve patient safety.
