NCT ID NCT06245681
Summary
This study aims to understand how long-term, high-dose gender-affirming hormone therapy affects heart function, fat levels in the heart and liver, and diabetes risk. Researchers will follow 40 transgender adults, performing detailed heart and liver scans and blood sugar tests before they start hormone therapy and again after 6 months of treatment. The goal is to gather new information about the body's response to these hormones to better inform future healthcare.
