Jaw bone graft battle: new blood-based block vs. traditional bone mix

NCT ID NCT07584629

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested two ways to rebuild lost jaw bone so dental implants can be placed. Twelve adults each received two different graft materials in different sides of their mouth: a block made from the patient's own blood (LPRF) and a mix of their own bone with cow bone. The researchers measured bone growth and implant success over 25 months.
