Could kids skip the hospital sleep lab? new study tests home breathing machine setup
NCT ID NCT05881031
First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether children with medical complexity (ages 5-17) can safely start using a nighttime breathing machine at home instead of in a hospital sleep lab. Half the children will start at home, half in the lab, and researchers will compare how well each approach works. The goal is to see if home starts are possible and safe, which could make life easier for families and improve long-term use of the machine.
