Can a home test replace the sleep lab for kids with sleep apnea?
NCT ID NCT05382754
First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a home sleep apnea test is as accurate as the standard overnight sleep lab test for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea in children aged 5 to 12. Researchers will also check if the home test helps doctors make the same treatment decisions and if families find it more acceptable. The goal is to see if a simpler, at-home option could work for some children.
