NCT ID NCT06913309

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a bright light at home for 40 minutes each morning can help teenagers aged 13-17 with major depression. Participants are split into three groups: high-intensity light, medium-intensity light, or a dim red placebo light. The goal is to see if the therapy reduces depression symptoms, improves sleep and thinking, and is safe and easy to use. The study also looks at how light therapy might change brain activity.
