New At-Home film aims to stop debilitating nervous system crises
NCT ID NCT06128356
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a medication film that dissolves under the tongue can be used safely at home to stop severe 'autonomic crises' in adults with familial dysautonomia. These crises involve dangerous spikes in blood pressure, vomiting, and agitation. The main goal is to see if running a home-based treatment trial is practical and to refine how crisis resolution is measured.
