At-Home brain zaps tested to slow Alzheimer's decline

NCT ID NCT04404153

Summary

This study tested whether a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation device used at home could help people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. One hundred participants used the device for 30 minutes, five days a week for six months to see if it improved memory, thinking skills, and quality of life. The goal was to find a new way to manage symptoms and reduce the burden of this illness for patients and their families.
