What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
home-based fall prevention program (health education, Otago exercises, home safety assessment)
What this could lead to
If effective, this program could reduce falls and improve quality of life for older adults living at home.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed study with 82 participants, so results may not apply to all older adults. The program requires ongoing effort and may not prevent all falls.
