First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether a home-based care plan is practical and acceptable for people with advanced chronic kidney disease who decide not to start dialysis. Researchers interviewed patients, their caregivers, and doctors to understand their experiences and challenges. The study was stopped early after enrolling only 2 participants, so results are very limited.
