Muscle-Saving combo: new study tests meds plus lifestyle for healthier weight loss
NCT ID NCT07409831
First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This pilot study looks at whether adding a structured exercise and nutrition program to standard weight-loss medication helps adults with obesity preserve muscle mass and physical function better than medication alone. About 120 adults aged 18-70 will be randomly assigned to either medication plus a 6-month lifestyle program or medication only. The goal is to find a more holistic way to manage obesity and related health conditions.
