Can a muscle supplement help heal Jumper's knee?
NCT ID NCT07466407
Summary
This study is testing if a nutritional supplement called HMB can help athletes with patellar tendinopathy (jumper's knee) recover better. Thirty athletes will follow an 8-week rehab program of specific exercises and shockwave therapy, with half also taking the HMB supplement and half taking a placebo. The goal is to see if the supplement reduces pain and improves jumping and leg strength more than the rehab program alone.
