New HIV vaccine trial aims to train immune system to beat the virus

Summary

This early-stage study tests an experimental HIV vaccine in 35 people living with HIV. The goal is to see if the vaccine can safely train the immune system to produce special antibodies that might help control the virus. Participants will temporarily pause their regular HIV medications to see if the vaccine works.
