NCT ID NCT06857071
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to find undiagnosed HIV cases in South Africa by asking people who just learned they have HIV to recruit their friends and acquaintances for testing. The goal is to reach men and others who avoid testing due to stigma. Researchers will compare clinics using this approach to standard clinics to see if it finds more new cases and reduces stigma.
