Could a Two-Drug HIV pill be enough for transgender women?

NCT ID NCT06967753

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study is for transgender women with HIV who are already on a stable three-drug regimen. It tests switching to a simpler two-drug combination (dolutegravir plus lamivudine) to see if it keeps the virus under control. About 50 participants will take the two-drug pill for 48 weeks, and researchers will monitor viral levels and safety. The goal is to offer a more convenient treatment option.
