Scientists pause HIV meds to hunt for virus hideouts

NCT ID NCT05419024

Summary

This study aims to learn more about where HIV hides in the body when it is controlled by daily medication. Researchers will compare two groups of adults with HIV: one group stays on their medication, while another takes a short, monitored break. The team will use special body scans and take small tissue samples to see how the virus and the body's immune system react when treatment is paused.
