NCT ID NCT06145854
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study follows 100 cisgender women in the southern U.S. who are already prescribed long-acting cabotegravir (Apretude) shots for HIV prevention. Over two years, researchers will track how many women continue getting their shots on schedule and how satisfied they are with the treatment. The goal is to see if this convenient, every-other-month injection helps more women stay protected from HIV compared to daily pills.
