First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested two culturally adapted HIV prevention programs for African-born women living in the Boston and New York City areas. One program was one-on-one, the other was a group program. The goal was to see which approach works better at increasing condom use and PrEP use. 149 HIV-negative women took part, and researchers measured changes in condom use, PrEP uptake, and HIV testing.
