First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a single pill called Delstrigo as a 28-day treatment to prevent HIV after a possible exposure. 399 adults who went to the emergency room for a potential HIV contact took the pill daily. The main goal was to see how many people finished the full 28-day course, and researchers also looked at side effects and reasons people stopped early.
